Through conversation and comments from many of you, we realize a trend! We feel like the weeks are just rolling by and we aren't getting many tasks accomplished. To that end, we decided to introduce a new blog series to help with productivity!
Mapping your goals on Sunday evenings can assist immensely with have a good start to your week. Just knowing what you want to accomplish by the end of the week helps to keep you focused.
After you have decided what the 'end goal' is, then you want to write out your micro goals.
These are the tasks you will accomplish each day. In this way, the procrastinator in you won't wait till Friday evening to try to complete everything!
We love setting aside blocks of time dedicated to each specific task. This takes a lot of pressure off your shoulders because you know exactly what you should be doing at what time.
Another thing we love about the practice is it serves to free up your brainpower. You don't have to rely on memory anymore; just your calendar to see what is necessary.
Be sure to cross off or delete your tasks from your list as soon as you complete them. This not only gives a sense of accomplishment which then motivates you to crush your list even more. It also makes us feel a sense of relief as we see our list visibly lessening!
It definitely, requires a little discipline at the beginning but once you get the hang of it you will love it!
