Three Hair Oils You Didn’t Know You Needed

As a member of the 4a- 4c club for the past six years it has been rough figuring out what works and what just causes aggravation. Out of all of the natural hair products, moisturisers, creams, gels, leave-ins and foams, I have to admit that for me oils are a must have. The right oils will aid in scalp health, reduce hair loss and promote hair growth by strengthening the hair shaft. Now, the problem that I have is remembering which essential oil is good for frizz or dandruff or even damaged hair, which can be used on the scalp or which oils have to be paired with a conditioner or a moisturiser. Oy Vey!!! So, I decided to search for products that already consisted of the oils I needed. Here’s what I found.

1. LC Naturals Hydrate Hair Oil

This lightweight, non-greasy all- natural hair oil is simply divine. I apply a couple drops to my freshly washed hair that has been sectioned off and my hair has never felt so smooth. After you get over that refreshing citrus scent, the oil is great at locking in the moisture to where curls and coils appear plump and hydrated. This 4oz dropper- bottle contains Jojoba oil, Argan oil, Grapeseed, Grapefruit and Vitamin E and can be sourced from @lcnaturalsbb on IG.

2. Beauty Secrexx Hair & Scalp Oil

Made with eleven different essential oils, this blend is perfect as a hot oil treatment to nourish your hair and dry scalp. What I like best about this oil is that it contains the actual rosemary leaves. I use the nozzle of the bottle to apply the oil on my clean scalp & hair, this allows the hair cuticle and shaft to absorb and benefit from the oil blend. Once the hair & scalp oil is applied, I either sit under a steamer/hooded dryer or use multiple plastic caps to allow the oil to penetrate deeper. My hair comes out smooth and shiny. Check out @beauty_secrexx on IG to get this fab hair & scalp oil.

3. Creme of Nature Essential 7 Treatment Oil

The certified natural ingredients are what appeals to me the most about this oil as it has been formulated without adding any sulphates, mineral oils, petrolatum or silicones. This coconut milk scented oil, smooths and softens the hair and adds extra shine. It can be used on both damp and dry hair. I love using this on braid-outs or twist-outs. You can find this oil in your nearest beauty supply store.
